At the Wilmington Nighthawks, our 10U travel program introduces players to full‑ice hockey with a strong emphasis on skating, team play, and game awareness. Practices focus on skill development, decision‑making, and fundamental offensive and defensive concepts while keeping the experience fun and competitive. Teams compete in league play, showcases, and regional tournaments, giving players meaningful challenge without losing sight of development. With committed coaches and a positive team culture, Nighthawks 10U hockey helps young athletes take the next step in their growth and prepares them for success at higher levels.

At the Wilmington Nighthawks, our 12U travel program challenges players with faster full‑ice competition while continuing to build strong fundamentals and hockey IQ. Practices focus on advanced skating, puck movement, systems concepts, and situational decision‑making, helping athletes grow both technically and tactically. Teams compete in league play and regional tournaments that promote teamwork, resilience, and consistent development. With dedicated coaching and a positive, competitive environment, Nighthawks 12U hockey prepares players for the increased pace and responsibility of the Bantam levels ahead.

At the Wilmington Nighthawks, our 14U travel program prepares players for the increased pace, physicality, and competitiveness of Bantam hockey. Practices focus on advanced skating, puck movement, team systems, and situational awareness, helping athletes translate individual skill into strong, cohesive team play. Players are introduced to body contact in a controlled, development‑focused environment, emphasizing safety, confidence, and proper technique. With league play, competitive tournaments, and committed coaching, Nighthawks 14U hockey provides the challenge and structure players need to progress toward high‑school and upper‑level travel hockey.

16U - Tryouts

At the Wilmington Nighthawks, our 16U travel program challenges players with the speed, strength, and competitiveness of upper‑tier youth hockey. Practices emphasize advanced skating, puck possession, systems execution, and situational decision‑making to prepare athletes for the demands of high‑school and midget‑level play. Players refine body‑contact skills, develop leadership habits, and learn to perform under pressure through league competition and high‑level tournaments. With experienced coaching and a positive, team‑first culture, Nighthawks 16U hockey helps athletes elevate their game while building the discipline and resilience needed for long‑term success.

18U - Tryouts 

At the Wilmington Nighthawks, our 18U travel program provides a highly competitive environment for players preparing for high‑school varsity, junior, and collegiate opportunities. Practices emphasize advanced team systems, pace of play, special‑teams execution, and strong situational awareness, helping athletes compete with consistency and maturity.
